REASON IS DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCE OF SERVICE PROVIDER TALKTALK

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-43981652

I recently changed my service provider to TalkTalk as said they could provide me with Fibre Optic delivery at 39Mbt/s plus phone line and free calls, all for 25 a month. I told them this area didn't have fibre yet but they insisted it had, so I went with them. I was suppose to go live on the 19th April. The new router arrived in good time and I was relatively happy. However, phone line went dead then but broadband was delivered at 39Mbt/s 7 times faster than I previously had. I complained that the phone was dead and they said Openreach had found a fault on the line, but would update me again on the 2nd May. I was told that TalkTalk had to order equipment for them to get it sorted. Streweth, they were going to leave me without a phone line till then. I complained again, but got nowhere. 25th April, my Broadband was still brilliant, and the phone although still not working was not totally dead any longer but had a Beep Beep Beep tone. Thinking things were moving forward I contacted TalkTalk again, TalkTalk told me that the order had been cancelled by by previous provider who was ITalk. I certainly hadn't cancelled or given them instructions to cancel, and indeed ITalk had sent me a letter saying that the changeover would occur on the 19th April. I had actually terminated my contract with Italk a couple of weeks before the end of this contract which was to terminate on the 3rd May, but I didn't mind paying the extra 15 for early termination, as the TalkTalk offer was so good.

3rd May came and hey presto, the phone line was back working, BUT the Broadband was totally dead.

Again trying to get an answer from TalkTalk I spend a good hour to be told that I can get it sorted instantly by phoning up their sales team and reordering my package, I was told their sales team would still be open till 10pm. I phone them at 9pm and they have all gone home. Evidently they only stay open till 8pm, so TalkTalk don't have a clue about their sales hours. Following day I now spend 3 hours on the phone to both Italk and TalkTalk trying to reorder my Fibre Optic Broadband, but are now told that it isn't available in my area. (Didn't I tell them that in the first place?) Anyway, three hours of talking to some scatty Indian Call Centre woman (thought TalkTalk were doing away with these as well) I finally reorder their non fibre broadband and phone for a lower price of 18.75 a month, and after going through all my personal details yet again, name, address, date of birth, bank account for direct debit, etc. which they already had with my first order, I am told that they will be able to connect me on the 18th May. I informed them that they could connect me instantly as I already had the router.

OH NO. They had to go through procedure and I would receive another one and the contract paperwork (which incidentally comes separate from the router). I told them that I don't need another one as I already had been sent their original one and they COULD connect me instantly at least back on Broadband. OH NO. They had to send it all through as it was a package, and if I didn't want or need the second router I could send it back again.

I CAN SEE WHY TALKTALK ARE USELESS AT CUSTOMER SERVICES.

RED TAPE AGAIN, OFFERED BY JUMPED UP JOBSWORTHS AND A TECHNICAL TEAM WHO PASS THE BUCK, TELL LIES (did Openreach really need TalkTalk to order special equipment?) THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY CAN DELIVER OR WHEN THEIR OFFICES ARE OPEN. THEY ARE A COMPLETE FARCE.

I will keep you all informed.
