72 Union Street
Maidstone
At first I thought this was also known as the "Union Flag"
but now operating as the "Style
and Winch." However, I believe the street must have been renumbered
at some time as the licensee lists are different.

MAIDSTONE POLICE COURT. THE TRANSFER OF THE "BULL AND SNUFFERS."
Mr. F. R. Howlett, addressing the Bench, said that a few weeks ago he
attended the Court with reference to the transfer of the licence of the
"Bull and Snuffers," Union-street, from a Mr. Wickens to George Larkinn,
and then he understood that the late tenant, who had died, left no wife
or relations. He had since ascertained that his wife was living in
London, but he had not got her address, and so he asked for authority to
hold the licence over till the next transfer day. This was granted. |

Mr. Hoar applied for the transfer of the licence of the "Bull and
Snuffers," Union-street, from William George Larkin, who had been
convicted of an offence against the licensing laws, to George Foster

been conducted properly. - The Bench granted the application but warned
Purcell to keep the house respectable. |
