Research tells me the pub closed for a short time in 2005 and reopened again in 2006. It was called "Jaks" as shown in the photo during 2006 but this also closed as of July 2007.

Jan 2008, it appears it reopened again, this time with the name as "Murphy's" but reported as closed again in Feb 2012.

From an email received 21 August 2014.

My Grandfather's address in 1908, when one of his sons was born, was 67 Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells. He was discharged from the army in April 1907 and the address he gave as his intended place of residence was the Post Office, Tunbridge Wells. Now it could be that he went to live with family at the Post Office but I do know that sometime between 1908 and 1911 he took on a pub in Hertfordshire.

I'm presuming that although 67 was given as the address that he actually could have have been landlord for the Pub next door if it was a pub then.

Regards,

Moira Hill.
