A fire broke out in the pub in June 2003 and the building has now been demolished and replaced by flats.

From the https://www.kentlive.news August 2018. The Greyhound pub, which was in Upper Grosvenor Road, caught fire in June 2003, destroying stock and personal contents inside. At the time, investigators said six drums of petrol had been ignited in the pub. The fire was treated as arson but no-one was ever brought to justice. Over the years the boarded-up pub became one of the town’s most notorious eyesores and at one point became an unofficial car lot. It is now houses and flats.
