79 Goods Station Road Royal Tunbridge Wells
Information from local historian Ed Gilbert says that this was never a public house but operated as a beer-retailer and run as an Off-Licence for Frederick Leney at one time. In 1874 this address is the premises of George Mercer, a builder; in 1883 Samuel Roberts, and engineer. John Hubble is also at Goods Station road (no address given) in 1867.
This pub is one in the list of my "Project 2014." As such I haven't found a picture of the pub yet, and to date have little other information. Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated. I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from. All emails are answered.
