London Road Horns Cross Stone https://whatpub.com/welcome-all
The pub closed in 2009 to become the "Bridge Cafe." Although the pub was small, it had a large garden, much bigger than a normal family house. This was at one time the terminus of the Dartford tramways from Bexleyheath joint with Erith Tramways. Erith took over the whole operation after Dartford depot was burnt out along with most of the trams. There was a proposal to extend the tracks to Craylands Lane, Greenhithe where the Gravesend trams terminated. This would have made a journey from Gravesend by tram to the banks of the Thames at Westminster or even further north through the Aldwych tram tunnel to Barnet or Waltham Cross. Unfortunately it never happened.
I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history. As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here. Thanks for your co-operation.
