31 Camden Road 2017

Above Google image, June 2017.

The premises was described as a beer house in 1871

Local historian Ed Gilbert says:- for 29 and 30 Camden Rd in 1881 is the tailors shop of Thomas Coles. In 1927 it is Henry Farmer, beer retailer; In 1881 Eli Price, a tailor with premises at both 29 Camden Rd and on Garden Rd. In 1913 Joseph Wheeler, beer retailer. In 1899 to 1903 Richard White, beer retailer.

Number 31 was demolished, date unknown and is now (2018) and has been for some time been home to Next, however I am not certain whether this is the site of the "Wheatsheaf." Local knowledge required.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
