Bull Lane Boughton Under Blean
There was once a "Bull Inn" at Boughton, the parish registers record two people dying there at the latter end of the 16th century (1582 & 1584). There is still a Bull Lane in the village, at the corner of which stands the former "Dolphin Inn." It is possible that this is the same location and that the pub changed names. Further information from Michael Mirams tells me that this is not correct. The "Bull" and "Dolphin Inn" are indeed different buildings. The "Bull" was demolished from between 1904 and 1909. Frances Holliday believes the "Bull" was on the opposite corner to the "Dolphin," both opposite the "Three Squirrels" in Boughton Street.
