This one was a temperance hotel, so no beer sold here, advertising in 1904 said the following:- The central Temperance Hotel, 62 Week Street, Maidstone. proprietor E. Howell, First Class Commercial Room, Bedrooms, Every Home Comfort for Commercial Gentlemen and Visitors. Telephone 0163.

After closure it was taken over by Littlewoods Stores. Today, 2017 it has been replaced with a new building now occupied by Primark.
