The street and of course pub no longer exists, but can be traced to at least 1854. I also have seen reference to a "Duke of Brunswick" also located in Brunswick Square, less that was a naming error.

A publican Fined.

Raphael Church, of the "Duchess of Brunswick," Brunswick square, Deptford, was fined on Saturday last, at the Police Court 40s. for having his house open on Sunday morning the 2nd instant.

Adjourned Licensing Day.

Two suspended licenses were taken away, viz., Mr. Church, "Duchess of Brunswick," Deptford, and Mr. Herbert, of the "United Service Tavern," Charlton Pier.
