I believe this has also been referred to as the "Timber Hoy" the pub was closed in March 2008 after a number of convictions regarding drugs offences, and was converted into a cafe with the title of the "Hoy Kitchen."

John Harrington, 19, laborer, of Brentwood, was charged with wilfully breaking a pane of glass, value 10s., at the "Hoy" public house, Creek Road, Deptford.

George Winn said that on Saturday night after 12 the prisoner came to the house, and broke the pain of glass the property of his father.

Police constable Craggs said that he saw the prisoner knock at the "Hoy" public house, and no one answered. He then deliberately put his fist through one of the panes, and ran away.

Prisoner in defence said that he had had a drop of drink; but did not intend to break the window.

Mr. Balguy fined him 5s. and 10s. damages, or 7 days' hard labour.
