GREENWICH. The Delivery of Beer after Closing Hours.

In Greenwich, where so much ingenuity is shown in probing the weak points of the Licensing Act, a question has been raised if beer sold during legal hours can be delivered after closing.

The landlord of the "King's Arms," Deptford, having sent out after midnight on Saturday several gallons of beer sold earlier in the evening, was summoned for a breach of the Act. The magistrate construed the law against him, and he had to pay a nominal fine of 2s. and costs.
