ERITH. - FATAL ACCIDENT.
A lad named George White was lately killed at the Ballast Wharf, Erith,
by being run over by one of the waggons. An inquest was held at the
"Page's Arms," before C. J. Carttar, Esq., when evidence was given
showing that this was the third accident of precisely the same character
which had taken place at the same spot of the tramway within a short
time, and the jury returned a verdict of "Accidental death," at the same
time expressing an opinion that more efficient persons should be
employed to manage the horses. |
