I believe this dropped the name "Plume of" and became simply the "Feathers" around about 1856.

This pub, along with the "Mitre" and the "Rose and Crown" were demolished in 1881 to make way for the construction of Deptford bridge.

Fire.

On Tuesday a fire broke out on the premises, the "Plume of Feathers," Deptford Green, and which totally consumed the premises, and the next door house was very much injured.

On Monday afternoon, Mr. C. J. Carttar held an inquest at the "Plume of Feathers" on the body of Mrs. Lane, 2, Fairy's buildings, Blackhorse-bridge, aged 50, who was found drowned in the Upper Watergate, Thames, on Saturday morning.
