DARTFORD PETTY SESSIONS.
(Before Sir P. H. Dyke, O. Smith, W. Arbuthnot, and W. H, Dyke, Esqs.)
The licence to the publicans in this division were granted without
complaint.
Mr. Gibson also applied on behalf of Mr. John Eves, of Lessucss heath,
for a license to the "Royal Standard." Mr. Childs opposed on behalf of
Mr. Hasle, of the "Belvedere Hotel," and other publicans in the
neighbourhood, and called John Strickland, bailiff to Sir Culling Eardley, who produced a letter from Sir Culling, expressing his opinion
that there was not any necessity for another licensed house in the
neighbourhood. The Bench refused the application.
