81 High Street Beckenham https://whatpub.com/three-tuns
This was an early haunt for then unknown David Bowie. Living in Beckenham with a friend Mary Finnigan, the pair started a Folk Club there and they appearing every Sundays at the pub. It morphed into the Beckenham Arts Lab by popular request but became a Folk Club again after Mary Finnigen left, and David eventually gave up becoming disillusioned with the clientele - who he said, only wanted to be entertained. The pub changed name to the "Rat and Parrott." Later changed name again to "Zizzi," dates of change unknown. Certainly back to the "Three Tuns" again in 2000.
