It has been suggested that this may may be the same as the "Woodman" at Sweets Lane in East Malling.

There is also some inaccuracy I believe in either the reference to the 1881 census as found on the pubhistory.com site or indeed his age being 26 in that year as I have seen the 1901 census and he was definitely 36 in that year, however, the 1911 census says he's 56.
