I also have reference to an "Albion" addressed as in Algernon Road. It was also said that J Gibbs Pearce entered the house under the 14th section, (Not sure what this refers to but could be upon the death of the predecessor.)

Probate 1929

John James Plato of 129 High street Lewisham Kent died 19 February 1929. Administration London 7 June to Charles Henry Plato and Herbert Percy Plato beer retailers.

Effects £2,320 0s 6d.

The Kentish Mercury of 1881 mentioned the transfer of the license to J Gibbs Pearce being done under the 14th section. I am not sure what this section refers to but could refer a transfer after the death of the previous licensee.
