This building appears to be dated 1936, but I have reference to a pub called the "Alma" going back to 1865. So there have obviously been two with that name in this area, probably the new built on the same foundations.

The building stood on the corner of Brickfield Cottages, adjacent to Woolwich Cemetery, with Rockcliffe Gardens to the rear.

The pub closed in April of 2013. Planning application for change of use to residential was refused in Feb 2017. Building sold to property company for £5m in Mar 2018. Conversion took place circa 2019.

The following were the applications made for transfer of spirit licenses:-

Inquests.

An inquest was held at 5 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, at the "Alma," Public House, Plumstead Common, on the body of Henry Frederick Creek, aged 10 years, of 2, Cemetery Cottages, Plumsted Common, who died on Sunday morning. The child came home from school unwell on Friday and gradually got worse till it died, and was not seen by any medical man.

The post-mortem examination made by Dr. Wise shewed that death had resulted from disease of the brain, and a verdict of "Died from Natural Causes" was returned.
