PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1650-

Bluebeard

Latest 1650+

Stone Street

Maidstone

This has been mentioned as being an Alehouse in Stone Street in 1650. No other information has yet been found.

Paul Narramour goes on to tell me that the pub has been shown on a map of Maidstone, 1650 but identified as the "Blew Board," the licensee being a Thomas Collett.  It appears to on the west side of what is now Upper Stone Street and opposite what is now Waterloo Street (on the map this is shown as Three Coney Lane.) The map was reconstructed in the 1970s from information from previous maps.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
