Broadway Belle sign

Above sign, date unknown.

With thanks from Brian Curtis www.innsignsociety.com.

At present all I have of this pub is the sign, no address but believe it to have existed in Maidstone.

Further research tells me it was called the "Bell" in Broadway, Maidstone as early as 1830. I believe it soon changed name to the "Bell" but reverted back to the "Broadway Bell" again later in its life, date unknown.

I am also informed this has also been the "Blue Door" the "Blue Bell," the "Broadway Belle," and the "Mulberry Bush."
