Above photo, circa 1893. Kindly sent by Rory Kehoe. Showing the pub in the livery of B C Bushell's Black Eagle Brewery, Westerham. In 1897, Bushell's acquired Watkins' Swan Brewery, Westerham and in 1899, bought Smith's Old Brewery, Sevenoaks, with all brewing then being concentrated on the Black Eagle Brewery. Bushell, Watkins & Smith's "Westerham Ales" were widely available in mid and west Kent until 1965, when new owners, Ind Coope, closed the Black Eagle Brewery.

Closed in March 2019 and an application put forward for change of use to residential.
