Promenade/Commercial Place Milton next Gravesend
Built in 1819 as "Wates Hotel" the name changed in 1883 although I have found reference to a "Commercial" in Pigot's Directory of 1832. The building was situated at the western end of the promenade near Custom House and is reputed to be where Charles Dickens once stayed.
