Originally just operating with a beer licence and possibly built late 1840s by William Dunnell beer retailer and wood broker, it finally received it's full licence in the 1930s.

Probate: John Gurr of the Greyhound Beerhouse, Keston, Kent died 10 January 1914, to Harriet Gurr, Widow, Effects £301.

A new pub was built just behind the old in the 1930s and the old one demolished. This new one received a direct hit in the blitz of 1940, fortunately out of hours, and was almost destroyed, the "New Inn" at Hayes suffering a similar fate.

Style and Winch was a Maidstone based brewer who had a lot of pubs in the Bromley area. Taken over by Barclay, Perkins & Co. in 1929, The "Greyhound" was a Courage house for many years but the pub was bought by Shepherd Neame from Enterprise Inns at the end of June 2016.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation.
