PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1743-

King's Head

Closed 1910

8 Old Woolwich Road (4 Bear LanePigot's Directory 1832-34)

Greenwich

Addressed at 4 Bear Lane before 1867.

I am informed that the pub closed in 1910 and has been demolished, date unknown.

Derby Mercury, Friday 30 December 1743.

We hear that the prize of £10,000 drawn last Saturday, was claimed by a person who keeps the "King's Head," a public house, opposite the Park Gate in Greenwich, and delivered to him by Mr. Cox.

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation.
