I am informed that some time in the mid 1980s the pub changed name from the "Admiral Rodney," and at the same time more than doubled the size of the premises to include a restaurant area with skittles alley and dance floor.

Owner Bob Whitling closed the pub in the mid 1990s and it became residential.
