Royal Engineer location 2012

Above image from Google, July 2012, is where I believe the pub used to stand.

The Chatham News stated that the licence was transferred to the "Westcourt Arms" from the "Royal Engineer" in Medway Road in 1888. The "Royal Engineer" was listed at 30 Exmouth Terrace in the 1961 census, near to the "Lord Exmouth." I assume this would have been on the corner.

I have reference to another "Royal Engineer" addresses as 44 Medway Road and Twydall Green. I believe the licensee list could well refer to that one.

From the Southeastern Gazette, 22 May 1866.
