109-111 Coast Drive Greatstone
As you can see from the above photographs, the premises was either substantially changed over time, originally looking no more than a timber building, or it was demolished and rebuilt. Local knowledge required here please as I also have the same photo on the page for the "Jolly Fisherman" indicating that the building was indeed the original of this pub. On the back of the card is written "the original Seahorse, Greatstone," and doesn't mention the "Jolly Fisherman." The licensee's name, looks like John Thompson, who doesn't appear on the "Jolly Fisherman" list of licensees. So I guess the information that was taken from their web site (no longer available) and copied to mine, is incorrect. Unfortunately after closing in 2012 and being sold in 2013, it was converted into a residential property. However, CAMRA suggest it hasn't received planning permission for a change of use, so it could well reopen as a public house again.
