Sea Wall Dymchurch
The pub changed name after a storm in 1775 threw a ship named the City of London into the building of the "Seawall Tavern" killing many and almost demolishing the building. The timbers of the ship were then used to repair the building and in honour of the people killed, the tavern was renamed the "City of London."
