The 1881 census describes this as a Beer House, and there appeared to be three families living under its roof. The Licensee William Leigh with his wife, 5 children, a sister-in-law and a lodger. William Crude age 66, a labourer, with his wife, two sons, a daughter and grandson. Henery Stone,as 33 farm labourer, his wife, five children and a boarder. Making 23 in all.

MR. A BELLINGHAM.

Fellow members of the British Legion acted as bearers at the funeral of Mr. Albert Bellingham, of the "Tally Ho Inn," Toyes-Hill, Brasted. He was 51 years of age and was well known in Tunbridge Wells, where he formerly lived.

IN THE PETTY SESSIONAL OF SEVENOAKS.

To all whom it may concern.

I. FRANK WESTON, now residing at the "Tally Ho," Toys Hill, Brasted, in the Petty Sessional Division of Sevenoaks in the County of Kent. Beer Retailer, DO HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that it is my intention to apply at the General Annual Licensing Meeting for the said Division to be holden at The Court Room at The Police Station, Sevenoaks aforesaid, on Friday, the Eleventh day of February next, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the grant, to me of a Justices’ Licence authorising me to apply for and hold an Excise Licence to sell by retail the following liquors, viz.: Any intoxicating liquor for consumption either on or off the premises situate at Toys Hill, Brasted aforesaid and known by the sign of the "Tally Ho!" and of which premises Messrs. Bushell Watkins & Smith Limited, whose registered office is situate at The Black Eagle Brewery, Westerham, in the said Countv of Kent, are the Owners and of which I am the Lessee. GIVEN under my hand this Thirtieth day of December. One thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.

There is a possibility that Henry Marchant was licensee the "Fox and Hound" in 1901, that he moved there and then back again.
