PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest ????

Victoria

Closed Apr 2004

114 Trafalgar Road

Greenwich

Trafalgar 1936

Above photo, 1936.

The pub closed in April 2004 and was demolished in 2006.

The pub was also known for some reason as the "Wooden House" although whether this was just the locals term for it, or indeed a previous name, at present I don't have the information. Further information from Steven Mortimore tells me that the reason it gained this name was because the back of the pub was blown out during WW2 and it was propped up with timbers to stop it falling down.

I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation.
