More a nightclub than a pub.

POLICE have made a fresh appeal for witnesses to an attack in a Gravesend nightclub that left a man in hospital for two months.

A 32-year-old Hungarian man was head-butted in Whispers nightclub in Parrock Street at around 1am on April 4.

He fell to the ground and was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

Police say the attacker was white, in his early 20s and had short blond hair.

He wore a green jacket and black and white shoes.

Detective Constable Geoff McCreery, who is leading the investigation, said: “The nightclub would have been busy at the time so it is possible it would have been witnessed by people who do not realise the importance of their accounts to our inquiries.

“I would ask that they get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should call Det Con McCreery on 01474 366091 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

A 23-year-old man from the Gravesend area was arrested by police on April 25 in connection with the incident. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.

By August 2019 it had changed name to the "Silk Bar."

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation.
