The premises is now (2018) being used as a Spanish Restaurant called "La Rioja," but as yet I don't know when it closed as a public house. Local knowledge needed please.

In the Edwardian period, the pub appears to have been a far-flung outpost of Charrington's Anchor Brewery, Mile End Road, E1. Substantially rebuilt c.1909, the end came in 2008, when the pub was sold and then re-emerged as a Spanish restaurant, called La Rioja. This closed down in 2017 and since then, despite local opposition, the former pub building has traded as a KFC franchise.
