The 1891 census gave the address as number 30, so the road has been renumbered some time after this date. Ind Coope & Co Ltd purchased the pub from Budden & Biggs Brewery Ltd by conveyance and assignment dated 23 March 1931, and small plot of land in rear of the Beacon Arms, Coronation Road, at this time the premises only held a beer license. The pub has since gained a full license. 1990 saw it change breweries again to Friary Meaux, and two years later in 1992 to Shepherd & Neame Ltd. The pub closed in 2005 and was converted into flats.
