37-39 Henry Street Chatham
The pub was operating as a Beer and Cider House in 1872, and was near the "Halfway House" and "Lads of the Village." The pub was rebuilt for some reason in 1922 and there is a report that the licensee of the time a John Cook was fined the sum of £5 for serving intoxicating liquors outside of his licensing hours. George Lyons died in 1995 at the age of 92, he was also steward of several clubs in the area, and was once a cross-country runner for the Rochester Athletic Club and was mentioned for dispatches for action. The licence was removed in 1973, so must have shut some time before. I believe the area is now a car-park.
