1624.

William Reynolds of London, goldsmith, gave by his will 50, and William Harris his executor 10 more, with an interest thereof to distribute 2s. worth of bread to the poor of Dartford, by the vicar and churchwardens; every Sunday, with which two sums (amounting to 60,) were bought off John Kettle and his wife, a house in Spital Street, afterwards known as the "Blue Anchor," and since divided into two tenements. This house was taken down in 1764, and four cottages built on its site.
