1624.

William Reynolds of London, goldsmith, gave by his will £50, and William Harris his executor £10 more, with an interest thereof to distribute 2s. worth of bread to the poor of Dartford, by the vicar and churchwardens; every Sunday, with which two sums (amounting to £60,) were bought off John Kettle and his wife, a house in Spital Street, afterwards known as the "Blue Anchor," and since divided into two tenements. This house was taken down in 1764, and four cottages built on its site.
