Pauline Sims says the following:- The picture shows the landlord, my Grandfather George William Giles, Grandmother Charlotte (Lottie) Giles, standing either side of the door, my mother Dorothy Giles and I believe Albert Giles brother of George. Adjoining the pub was a small general purpose grocery shop. George Giles was landlord from c1909 to c1915.

Licensee George Giles also ran a small general stores which was attached to the side of the pub.

One time a Mason's tied house, but the brewery was bought out by Shepherd Neame in 1956 and the brewery was subsequently closed and demolished.

I am informed that the pub is now a private residence, but at present I do not know when it closed.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.
