CITY PETTY SESSIONS.

Saturday. (Before Capt. Burton, E. R. Coles, J. L. Levy, and W. Manclark, Esqrs.)

Thomas Gostwich was charged by Viney with having three illegal measures in his possession.

Defendant, who is landlord of a public-house at Frindsbury, admitted the charge, but said he took the measures from the former landlord, and they had previously been used by six different landlords. They were called by no name, and were only used to measure pennyworths of vinegar.

Fined 5s. and costs, and the measures forfeited.
