According to Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council it was erected in 1964.

I am informed that the pub was mentioned in the 1982 CAMRA guide and also in the 1970 edition of Better Pubs Map, and that it was a large state pub.

Situated in Blacklands (just off Chapman Way) after closure as yet date unknown it became the "Mallings" for a while. However, the building was demolished for housing in December 2001.
