BROMLEY PETTY SESSIONS, MONDAY.

The license of the "Chequers," Southborough, was transferred from Mr. W. Lewis to William Knight.

FARNBOROUGH. PETTY SESSIONS.

James Smith of London, was charged with stealing a faggot, value 2d., the property of Mr. Knight, proprietor of the "Chequer's Inn," Southborough. Prosecutor had lost some fifty faggots from a stock and failed to detect the thieves until prisoner, who was one of a large party of harvesters, was seen by a witness, John Walker, to take the faggot from the stack. Prisoner was fined 10s. and 3s. 6d. costs, and in default was committed to prison for 14 days.
