I am informed that this in its day was a bit of a rough pub, the licensee Trevor Wratten being glassed by one thug, during his reign through the late 60's and early 70's. Probably by one of the low life attracted to the place by the "Go-Go" dancers they had performing there. One of the first pubs in the area to offer this entertainment.

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history.

As the information is found or sent to me, including photographs, it will be shown here.

Thanks for your co-operation.
