PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1840-

Noah's Ark

Latest 1901+

 Ash

This is another reference to a Noah's Ark that doesn't mention the occupant as being a licensee, in this case an agricultural labourer, so I am not 100% certain this ever sold beer. It is suggested that this could have been a farm.

22nd July 1840 reference:- The Ash Tithe Awards Schedule records the Noah's Ark as the freehold property of the Rev. William Toke, with Stephan (sic) Solley as his tenant at Noah's Ark, with just over 4 acres of land. Still no reference, to this actually being a pub, or even a beer house.
