I have just been informed (March 2015) by the proprietors of the current "Wellington's Cafe," that there was a public house situated in part of the cafe in Beach Street, Deal. Marilyn Watkins, who runs the cafe says:- I found the information in a book about Deal and being the current proprietor of said cafe, was very interested." The pub was called the Sovereign and was situated at the rear of the property.
