Oak Lane Upchurch
This pub has been found mentioned in the Petty Sessions of 1750 as mentioned in the book "Memories of Upchurch" by David Wood. The premises is now called "Black Horse Cottage" and was operational as a public house during the mid 18th century but as it didn't appear in the Petty Sessions it is believed to have been unlicensed. Until the 19th century it was one of only two buildings between The Street and Wallbridge Lane.
