1 High Street St Paul's Cray https://whatpub.com/blue-anchor
Also known as the "Anchor" I am not sure whether the pub has ever changed name and added the word Blue to it, but they are certainly one and the same. Traced back to 1840 as mentioned in the Tythe that year. I am informed that the pub closed in 1996 and has been converted into flats. The building itself probably goes back to the 1500s and was dated as that by the firm doing renovations some time ago. They found a Y shaped tree trunk in it’s construction. This was common in the 1500s as a building method to put a beam from the V shape to the chimney pillar and then build round it.
