British Volunteer location 2017

The above Google image, June 2017, shows the house on the left as 9 Priory Street, but the house on the right as 1 Priory Street.

I don't know anything about this pub at present other than it was situated at 7 Priory Street in 1881.

I believe the pub used to stand opposite the "Somerville Inn"

At one time it used to be an antiques shop, but appears in 2017 to now be of residential use.

From the Kent and Sussex Courier, Friday 13 March 1874.

Transfer of licences.

The licence of the "British Volunteer" beerhouse, Tonbridge, was transferred from Charles Skelton to Richard Curtis.
