Not really a public house but a cafe come restaurant with a drinks license, found to be operating between 1926 and 1930 at least.

 

Herne Bay Press, 12th June 1926.

States that after the opening of the new bowling green (The first ever match between Herne Bay Bowling Club & Kent County Bowling Association) that "the guests were excellently served a 'meat tea' at the Cafe Tudor, Promenade Central".

The Justices also confirmed the licence granted by the St. Augustine’s Magistrates in respect of the "Cafe Tudor and Restaurant," 4 and 5, Promenade Central, Herne Bay.

Mr. A. K. Mowll, who appeared to make the application, said that the monopoly value had been agreed at £2,000 — the first instalment to be paid on the taking out of the licence, and £400 to be paid on October 1st of each succeed year.

The license was confirmed.
