This pub has been found by author and historian Michael David Mirams who says the pub was originally called the "Half Moon." It closed probably in 1876 after the license was refused. By 1881 it had become a  general store, and later a fish and chip show, and latterly a cafe till that's closure in the early 2000s.

ADJOURNED LICENSING SESSIONS.

The adjourned licensing session for the borough of Sandwich and its liberties was held at Sandwich, on Monday last, when there were present the Major (G. Coleman Esq.) and a full bench of Magistrates. Mr. Dorman opposed the application of George Burvill for the renewal of the license of the "Little Western," King-street, and the Bench refused the license.
