Morning Advertiser, Thursday 28 September 1848.

NILE TAVERN, Woolwich, Kent with spacious and attractive river frontage.

Henry Haynes will offer for public sale, at Garraway's, this day, September 28th, at 12 for 1, by order of the proprietor and without the slightest reserve.

The lease and goodwill of the above truly valuable and justly celebrated Tavern.

The property has one of the most elegant, costly, and attractive river frontages on the Thames, and commands a series of most beautiful views both of the river and the surrounding country.

The greater portion has been lately rebuilt, and nearly £2,000 has been expended to producing the present unique, attractive, and comfortable structure. Connected with the tavern is a well fitted and well accustomed wine vaults.

The internal arrangements display a judgement in adaptation for business rarely met with having conveniences for dining the largest parties with ease.

The returns in trade are very great, but, as yet, much below what the situation and premises will command.

The city have granted the rights of erecting a pier for embarking and disembarking passengers.

The lease has 32 years unexpired at the mere ground rent of £52 10s. per annum.
