Apparently dropped the Royal connection and some time before 2006 was renamed the "Oak" and operating more like a bed and breakfast, although I don't know when the change occurred.

I am informed the house closed in 2016 following the death of the owner, but recent information (March 2018) says that the premises is about to come under auction but as there is an Asset of Community Value on the building, it must be sold as a going concern for refreshment.
